After noidea quits playing and I liked the nice addon. I decided to fix it and make it work for TBC.
For further changes I will also provide support for this addon.
I would thank noidea for this great adddon and wish him a nice time in the real life.
The original addon can be found herehttp://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/files/.../reputation-monitor/
The option window can be opened while entering "/rpm" to the console.
You can take care of any factions reputation you would while selecting it from the option menu ( more than one at the moment, not just a single one, like in the default version. )
Reputation Monitor 2.0 can be used while leveling a char, so you can watch your XP bar and see the reputations on RPM2.0
Also the addon provides a auto mode, so that the factions you gained reputation automatically showed in your list.
Also the addon overides the default reputation messages with its own ones, and provides more information than the blizzard default message does.
Changed version number to 2.3.0.
no further changes applied.
Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Freija saidAh ok, I understood.
Please try to disable "AUTO" in the RPM options ( /rpm ) this should fix your problem.
The option window remembers your configuration.
If you disable "AUTO" only your selected factions will be shown.
Please tell me, if this fix your problem.
Greetings Freija

Freija saidSo,
I'm back again from my holidays. I'm sorry I couldn't read your post earlier @ayo.
Do you mean, RPM doesn't saves the factions you selected to view at?
If you mean this. I can tell you, that it isn't implemented, yet. I will take a look at this new feature, after finishing my new RPM Version today.
Greetings, Freija

Freija saidHi duus,
the word can be spelled both ways.
People in the us spell it localization. People in the bk spell it localisation.
Anyway thank you for your advise.

Freija saidno isn't just you.
the problem is, I had to remove the mouse over event. Otherwhise it's not possible to place an click event.
If you left-click on the factions. You see the alternative values ( same as with the mouse over effect before ).
I hope this is practicable for you.

Freija saidToday I published a new version, please take a look at the Change Log.
In the next release I plan to overwork the german translatings. Maybe a french and / or spain user of this addon can provide me some translatings in his / her native language.

Freija saidHi,
first of all, thank you for your feedbacks.
>> I put this on my list for one of the next versions.
About the modification of the chat messages. I allready planed and designed a new way, chatmessages will be dropped by the addon. In future you'll be able to configure the chat output while using defined constants, so you can format the messages just as you like.
For example: %f: +%g ( Total: +%t ) ( %r reputation to %n ) which results in Kurenai: +11 ( Total: +33 ) ( 24 reputation to Honored )
or
+%g %f ( %c / %a of %s ) which results in +11 Kurenei ( 5976 / 6000 of Friendly )
etc. pp.
This improvement will be released in one of the next versions. The hole list of usable parameters and constants isn't completly defined yet. But I'm working on it.

Farook saidFirst of all, thank you for keeping this mod alive. :)
I got two feature request, and I would be quiet happy if you could add it:
1.) By now, the faction-list grows downwards. Would it be possible to implement an option to make it grow upwards as well? I like placing UI-elements at the bottom of my screen, so this would be great (for me) if it was added.
2.) Could you add the number of repetitions to the next "level" based on the amount of the last reputation gained? When I kill an ogre in Nagrand for example, that the chat output shows me something like this:
Kurenai: +11 (Total: +33) (24 repetitions to Honored)
