  • About Vertigo
  •

Note: This addon REQUIRES you to have LibSlash installed! You can download LibSlash from the WAR section of Curse: http://war.curse.com/downloads/details/13510/

Vertigo allows you to customize action bar layouts - set the number of columns, the number of buttons on the bar, show/hide the pagers or background for each bar, and whether or not to show empty slots.

Example usage:

/vert cols 2 1 (sets bar 2 to 1 column, i.e. vertical)

Use /vert or /vertigo in-game for a full list of options.

I found a fix for those who's bar disappeared and wouldn't come back (at least this worked for me)

resize the bar, hide it again, then unhide it.

    /vert cols bar 4 6
    /vert cols bar 4 12
    /vert empty 4 hide
    /vert empty 4 show

Don't know why it worked, or if it'll go for you, but...yeah....there ye go.

  • It just reconfigures what is already there.

Just after a clarification; does this allow you to add some action bars, or only to edit the default existing ones part of the UI?

Some time this past week a new issue came up. Whenever I load a screen (zoning or death) entire bars will disappear if I have empty buttons set to hide. This is very frustrating b/c I have a potion bar that disappears after every pvp death. If I open my inventory and pick up an item the bar will reappear. So after every load I have to manually pick up an item to see my bars again.

set cols equal to the number of buttons (typically 12).

  • I'd use this addon if it were possible to reverse the order in which the buttons are displayed. Right now I believe the buttons show top to bottom and I'd like to show them bottom to top.

Can you not just change the keybindings so that they go in the opposite order?

  • That crossed my mind as an option, but I'd also need to switch around the buttons on the three bars I use. This would be fine if I only played one character, but I play seven. So I thought I'd put it up for consideration. :)

Key bindings are not character specific. You change it on one, it changes on all of them.

  • Switching around the buttons is required IN ADDITION to remapping the keys.

But for me I decided to switch things around because I couldn't resist using the addon. And I think I was right not to resist :D

The problem is that Vertigo doesn't actually choose how the buttons are laid out, it just changes settings that the Mythic action bar code uses to then build the bars. So there isn't really a way to change that ordering without completely rewriting the action bar modules.
