TargetLast v1.7+ is compatible with WAR patch 1.0.6. If you have an older version, you will need to update in order for TargetLast to continue to work.

Note: This addon REQUIRES you to have LibSlash installed! You can download LibSlash from the WAR section of Curse: http://war.curse.com/downloads/details/13510/

TargetLast adds some new quick-targeting options for swapping targets back to the player you were last targeting before your current target. (Note that this only works for players - you can't use this mod to target mobs.)

/lastfriend - swaps back to your previous friendly target. Using this multiple times in a row will alternate between two targets (handy for healing yourself and another target).

/lastenemy - similar to lastfriend, except swaps your hostile target. Nice if you want to detaunt one enemy, then attack another, then swap back to detaunt again.

/targetlock - locks your friendly target to the player you're currently targeting. No matter what you click, your target will stay on them (unless they're unable to be targeted due to logging out, extreme range, etc.) until you unlock again via the same command.

/stickyfriend - makes your friendly target "sticky" so that it won't be cleared if you click somewhere in the game world that's not a person. (Clicking on another friendly player or npc will still change your target, unless you have targetlock turned on.)

/stickyenemy - makes your enemy target "sticky" so that it won't be cleared if you click somewhere in the game world that's not a person. (Clicking another enemy will still change your target.)

Note that currently LibSlash won't handle slash commands in macros, so if you want to make macros for these functions (in order to bind them to a key), use the following instead:

/script TargetLastFriendlyTarget()

/script TargetLastHostileTarget()

/script ToggleFriendlyTargetLock()

/script ToggleFriendlyTargetSticky()

/script ToggleHostileTargetSticky()

  • Is this going to get updated, or did they change the client so this is now impossible? This would be extremely useful to me, but I can't get it to work. :(

    I've pushed an update today (1.7) which should work with 1.0.6.

  • why in gods name can you not macro target npcs? thats just silly. is it because it cant differentiate between 2 mobs with the same name? i could see that reasoning i guess but in certain situations where you're dealing with mobs with different names it would be helpful so you dont lose your target. I would think they should be able to fix this if they wanted to anyway by labeling mobs differently in the code, not just by the visible name.

    anyway, thanks for the mod, i really need this for pvp anyway, so npcs are secondary until they add more pve instancing.

    For those having issues with stickytarget, are you aware that it will only work for players? Due to API limitations addons cannot target mobs, thus it cannot retarget them when you'd normally lose target if they're a mob.

    Sticky doesn't work. I toggle both stickies on, then I click a target, click on nothing, and it drops target.

    It does for me, the friendly target frame disappears if you click in the ground - but you still got your friendly target selected, it's just an ui problem I guess.

    /stickyfriend doesn't seem to work very well. Even if i click the playfield it still unsets my friendly target.

    Nice mod. Played a DoK Preview Weekend and this would have been useful. I have a question on macros and then keybinding.

    Can you provide a step by step on how it is done in WAR? Create macro, save macro, bind saved macro to key, etc.

    I know how to use the keymap part of the ui - did that to remap movement to ESDF as I don't personally like WASD. Tried to google it, but not finding much on how to do it.

    Thanks

    Heya. Here's how to set up a keybinding for the "target last friendly target" option - you can adopt this for the other ones.

    1. Press Esc until you get the Main Menu.
    2. Click on the 'Macros' option (4th from the bottom).
    3. Click one of the empty square slots near the top of the Macros window that opens.
    4. Enter a name for the macro ("Last Friendly" or something).
    5. In the Macro Text field, put /script TargetLastFriendlyTarget()
    6. If you want to set an icon, click the "No Icon Set" box to the left of the Macro name, and pick an icon.
    7. Click the Save button to the right of the macro name.
    8. Drag the square for the macro from the top (not where you set the icon, but where you initially chose a slot) to one of your action bars.
    9. Bind a key to that slot on the action bar (if the one you want bound isn't set already).
    10. Close the macro window and the main menu. You're good to go!

  • Gonna give this a try, but before I set it up, a question:

    Does the /stickyenemy have to be done each time you choose a new target?
