  • About Nix All Messy Bits Lining Actionbuttons (or NAMBLA)
  •

NAMBLA (which is dedicated to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) modifies the appearance of the default action bars (and pet/stance/granted-ability bars) to make them a bit cleaner. Here's a summary of what it changes:

  • Hides the borders on all of the individual buttons.
  • Removes the career resource-based "glow" on buttons (AM high magic, Shaman mork/gork, Swordmaster balance, etc).
  • Makes the "white-out" effect of buttons on cooldown half as strong, so it's not quite as opaque.
  • Removes the pointless "s" on the end of button cooldown text.
  • Resizes the cooldown text on buttons to be a bit larger (for readability) and modifies the font slightly.
  • Modifies the binding font slightly.

Note that NAMBLA does not have any in-game configuration, but any or all of the above can be disabled by editing the Lua file; instructions on how to disable them are in NAMBLA.lua inside the addon's directory. By editing the file, you can also hide keybind text if you so desire (again, directions are in the file).

Nice add on, but change the name. Nambla isn't something you want your son googling.

Actually, considering at least the first 10 Google results are all sources which state why NAMBLA is controversial; Googling it would probably be far more beneficial to a child's education than having a member of it walk up to them on the street.

Is there any way to change the cooldown timer for abilities that are over 60s to show in minutes?

Finally I figured out how to remove the GCD timer from showing up, now the only problem I'm having is with the Morale's cooldown visibility.
Anyone know how to edit NAMBLA to make the Morale button text more visible?? (like in 1.06)

For the next version I would like to suggest making the Morale's cooldown text bigger and with a different color (assuming there's no way to edit the LUA to do it already, sorry if there is)

    Thanks for this addon.

Hey, I play on a german server and my bindings always read Alt E or Shift Q instead of just AE / SQ which is very annoying. Changing the language id from 3 to 1 took care of that but now some parts of my Warhammer are english while others are still in german which looks just strange. Do you have any idea for a workaround? And thanks for all the great addons that make the game just so much more enjoyable :)

  • Very nice Addon!

I can't make the Actionbar Background dissapear tho =/

Is there any way to do it?

Like just showing the Spell-Icons? Without the Background Bars?

I first want to say I love this mod. But as a Black Orc I really need my buttons to glow to show my state, its helpfull to pick up what state im in with periferals.

If you could tell me how to put this back in I would really appreciate it.

"Any way to change the color of the cooldown font?"

Aiiane answered to something I asked about exactly this issue at

    http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3006297#post3006297

"Just find the following line in the .lua file:

    LabelSetFont(timerLabel, "font_clear_large_bold", 22)

and below it, add this line:

    LabelSetTextColor(timerLabel, 255, 255, 255)"

I am no LUA expert but I suppose the 255s are the RGB values of the color to use, in this case it'd be white.

Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for. :)

  • Ditto on the last two comments. I keep trying to fire my morale ability because it's impossible to read the timer.

  • Would like to see something similar to this for the new Morale animations.
The cool down font is too small, and hard to read.
Would it be possible to add Morale button features to NAMBLA?

Thanks for all the hard work.

The number 22 is for line spacing, if you want a larger font use one of these

What would this mod have altered, that would A: still give me the textures and NAMBLA "look" (like the NAMBLA 1 screenie) even after I removed the NAMBLA folder from my Interface/Addons folder; and B: prevent my default toolbar from displaying any of the default cooldown features after I deleted many folders and reset my UserSettings.xml file.

What I've tried: Wiping out cache folder; removing the NAMBLA folder in user/interface folder; and wiping out all EA* folders in the user/interface folder; deleting UserSettings.xml

TBH I didn't like how opaque the cooldown graphic was, it was just too hard for me to see and I found that I prefer the much whiter coold
