Welcome back Mundocani
Fixed Quickslots issue after 2.2 patch
Updated TOC for 2.2 patch. Very Minor changes trying to locate UI not hiding issue.
Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

XMinioNX said* I've noticed with this version when I mount in the battlegrounds my riding crop does not equip.
Click on the arrow next to the "Riding" outfit and uncheck the option to not equip it in Battlegrounds
* With this latest version, I've noticed that the show cloak/helm settings are no longer specific from outfit to outfit.
* I'm not sure if this is a bug, or simply a lost feature. Either way, can this function be restored?
Those settings are very specific per outfit, you must check the "Show Helm/Cloak" option on the ones you do want to show it and check the "Hide Helm/Cloak" on the ones you don't want to show it. If there is an outfit that has both unchecked, that outfit will leave the showing/hiding of helm and cloak as it is, meaning the same setting as your previous outfit.

zenpunk saidWith the "Trinket Queue" script, it doesn't work if a trinket has an apostrophe in it's name, like my "Battlemaster's Cruelty" does. I would LOVE for that to work.
Other than than, a GREAT mod.

gyre saidI'm having problems with tainting that may be related to outfitter.
To reproduce, go into combat, then attempt to change your terrain distance video setting.
I get:
12/4 12:41:10.656 An action was blocked in combat because of taint from Outfitter - UIParent:SetAttribute()
12/4 12:41:10.656 Interface\FrameXML\UIParent.lua:1469 UpdateUIPanelPositions()
12/4 12:41:10.656 Interface\FrameXML\UIParent.lua:1180 SetUIPanel()
12/4 12:41:10.656 Interface\FrameXML\UIParent.lua:1194 MoveUIPanel()
12/4 12:41:10.656 Interface\FrameXML\UIParent.lua:1095 HideUIPanel()
12/4 12:41:10.656 OptionsFrameOkay:OnClick()
Thanks

elfchief saidSo, I'm having a problem where every now and then, I'm not correctly switching into my Battleground outfit when I enter a battleground. It doesn't seem to be related to any particular battleground (or Arena), and it works *most* of the time, but every now and then, I just end up in my normal outfit.
I don't see any other complaints about this, so maybe it's just me, but I'd be curious to know if anyone else has had the same issue, or if this is a known bug, or whatever. Anyone have thoughts?

Toenail saidHello again,
I just noticed this in my taintlog. Maybe it will help you tweak things a bit.
11/30 14:17:44.625 An action was blocked because of taint from Outfitter - LFGQuery()
11/30 14:17:44.625 Interface\FrameXML\LFGFrame.lua:481 SendLFGQuery()
11/30 14:17:44.625 Interface\FrameXML\LFGFrame.lua:27 LFGParentFrame_OnEvent()
11/30 14:17:44.625 LFGParentFrame:OnEvent()
It repeats several times but i think they are all the same info,
Thanks for working on this for us.

You can use the macro command
/outfitter wear outfitName
Type
/outfitter help
into the chat window to see a list of all of Outfitter's macro commands. There's also a section in the manual with the macro commands listed.

Toenail saidHi I love this mod and have been using it for a while.
Since 2.3 I have been seeing some real lag issues when switching druid forms.
For example, shifting to flightform, will freeze the screen and it can take a few seconds for the flying trinket to actually equip.
I see the same when switching from bear to cat. disabling auto equip and the cat & bear specials does stop the lag and i can manually switch gear without a noticeable issue.
thanks much

brucequinton saidOk, I've updated the TOC and got a few things out of teh way, but I have not found and therefore not fixed the issue reported by Kerecha.
I'm not really looking into the errors with the auto building outfits ATM becouse rumor is that the lookup APIs will be changing.
the direct switching is working on my Druid, I have twiked some things in regards to blizzard changing the Aura effect triggers but I dont see this as the main cause.
I'll get it up ASAP.
