About FuBar 3.0

A panel that modules can plug into.

Features:

1. Drag and drop rearragement of plugins.
2. Any plugin can exist on left or right or be centered.

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Every time I login on my characters, I have to reset their Fubar settings because everything is different each time I log back on. PhanxChat, OrA2, and BigWigs (though I have them set to not show text) always pop up with text in the bar. Money_Fu will notify me that I have received mail, when in fact it has not shown up in my mailbox yet. I have unloaded/reloaded, killed my WTF file, etc. etc. What's going on???

I have been having a lot of graphical glitches when playing wow since the last patch. I have tracked the issue to a mod conflict. It seems that fubar is interacting negatively with another mod that I am running (lightheaded). I can use either mod on their own just fine, but the glitches (terrain blinks, water disappears and reappears randomly, and blocks of color around objects) appear when both mods are installed and enabled. Any suggestions as to what I can do? Any idea if this mod will be updated? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Yep, everything on fubar is working just fine for me with the exception of transparency and font sizes. I downloaded my version from wow interface, which is FuBar-r65601. I also downloaded the one from this website before that and it worked as well.

As of 2.4.3, fubar no longer allows you to modify transparency options or font sizes. I know I speak for many of us when I say please fix this! Thanks in advanced =).

With the new patch which was released today (2.4.3), fubar causes a bug, announced already by blizzard in the info screen. You get all the time a message that you have an open ticket. Pls fix this, I love fubar so much =)

that's funny ... mine works fine. tried looking at error reports with !bugsack or similar to see what's highlighted as not starting on load-up? may be something back along your add-on loading that's crashing the whole queue

Any chance FuBar could get compatability with bananabar?

When i try to log into WoW with the two enabled the load screen completely freezes up. Great mod - btw.

Fubar got fubar'd by the last patch, DurabilityFu is no longer functioning, and both ExperienceFu and PerformanceFu just disappeared off the bar.

Only one message is showing in my chat on login :
Error loading LoadOnDemand plugin Fubar_PerformanceFu

dunno why you're getting that.. must be another add-on you're running. i've got DurFu, and PerFu both working fine. may be experience fu since i run minixpfu or whatever it's called instead.

I am having the same problem with durabilityfu, but also auditor and garbage fu as well. Hopefully they'll get fixed soon.

i have a small problem on my rogue where my stealth icon covers the bottom row of text in the chat window. if i fool around with chat window it moves up 1 space so problem fixed but then it moves back down are there any other people out there with the same problem??? i gues it wold be the same with pet icons aswell?? also how can i fix it i realy like fubar and would hate to have to change to another mod because i cant read some of my chat..... realy annoying... any help would be apreciated :D

How do i turn the chat messages off. When I am on Quel'danas doing the flying qwests it spams the zone over and over when I move around the harbor ships. I have looked but I cannot find a chat turn off any where. PLEASE I am desparate

What module would that be? beql, QuestGuru, QuestAnnounce, and QuestAnnouncer are the ones I know of that does this. QuestGuru is accessible from your quest log (press Options). The other ones are configured via your FuBar and should be obvious. That is not related to *FuBar* tho, since it's only a framework for hosting other addons.
