AoC: FPS Boost Launcher

Works great for me !! using Vista Ultimate 32. Thanks Solariz for another great mod!! and for the people who can't get it to work go to Solariz website it's in German but if you have Firefox there are some good translation addons

Hey Solariz, long time Chatmod user, glad to see you with us on AoC.
How do i run this file? It keeps asking for the AoC path in command prompt but when i try it tells me its inaccesible.
Maybe adding a .bat file would make it more noob friendly.

How do you use this program? I keep getting "You did not specify a AOC directory"
I have no idea how to do that.

How to use:
-Extract the .zip file and Copy AoCFPSBoostLauncher.exe to your AoC directory.
-Right click on your AoC desktop shortcut and click "properties" and change the "target" (in the shortcut tab) to "YOUR_AOC_DIRECTORY\AoCFPSBoostLauncher.exe" YOUR_AOC_DIRECTORY
-so for example if your AoC directory is "C:\Program Files\Funcom\Age of Conan" then you would change your AoC shortcut target to
"C:\Program Files\Funcom\Age of Conan\AoCFPSBoostLauncher.exe" C:\Program Files\Funcom\Age of Conan

Can confirm its working on Vista x64.

Using shorter paths prolly drops your reg file size in half :P

BORMES has it right, but I thought his path posted had run off the edge of the page.

/funny how Microsoft uses super long paths but only gives you little tiny windows to enter them in. And they do this by choice...

Never heard of this before. Ill give it a whirl though heh. Do you need to leave the cmd window open while you play btw? Or just press enter and close it when it asks

This worked for me in Vista 32 bit version, copy the file somewhere, anywhere will do, create shortcut, and add the Age of Conan directory to the end as a parameter.

Something not mentioned by the original author, Age of Conan is a DirectX 10 game, you need Windows Media Player 11 or higher installed otherwise calling winmm.dll does jack because its optimising DirectX 9, only Windows Media Player 11 and higher will optimise DirectX 10 video framerate.

Does not work unter Vista - Not in a Batch File, not in a Shortcut, Not in Dos-Window.

I spend more than 20 mins to bring this thing to work, then I had enough, started the Windows Media Player and AOC.

I'm using vista 64 and it works just fine.

and coretwo my actual shortcut is: "D:\Age of Conan\AoCFPSBoostLauncher.exe" D:\Age of Conan

I just figured alot of people would be using it the way windows sets it up by default...i guess it usually uses Program Files x86 though, o well lol my guide is still accurate.

@ Solaris kannst du mal ne richtige Deutscheanleitung auf deiner Seite veröffentlichen? Schritt für Schritt ? Als Laie versteht man ja nur Bahnhof bei deiner Anleitung.

All I have to say is omg this is so amazing. I went from 20fps to 65 fps with all settings maxed out. Thanks for this download, super amazing. I am truly flabbergasted. I am running Vista Ultimate 64bit, AMD QuadCore 9500, 4GB DDR2 1066, and an ATI MSI 3870 OC.

All i have to say is you are the bomb man it works great and i plan on using this for a long long time :) up'ed my FPS by 40

My dont work say an error when ill start the program, what i need to do for the installation?

Does it wor on Windows XP?
